Obituary of Benito Spalluto

Born in New Jersey, raised in Southern Italy, Ben emigrated to the United States at the age of 19. After Army service, he gave up cold NJ winters and moved to California. With a childhood friend, he started a TV sales and service business that endured for 50 years, several years after his retirement. During that time, he met and married Carol Weldy, and fathered four: Frank (Maurgana) Maui, Adele Hubbard (Rick) Santa Barbara, Julie, Santa Barbara, and Joe (Katie) Ventura. He cared deeply for his grandchildren: Max Spalluto(Maui), Adelia and Malia Hubbard (Santa Barbara), Lena and Gianna Spalluto (Ventura). In 1982, he and Carol started to import Italian ceramics, a business now owned and operated by children: Adele, Julie, and Joe. The Italian Pottery Outlet. A simple graveside service took place.
