Obituary of Lillian Pierce

Our beloved Lillian Dusebout Pierce passed away and went to Heaven on Easter at 10:50 PM at The Samarkand in Santa Barbara California.  Born in 1935 in Patterson N.J., Lillian met and married Alfred Dusebout in 1952 after her high school graduation. Lillian and Alfred moved to Colorado where they began a family.  They transferred to Los Angeles, then to Washington and returned to California.  She is survived by her brother Thomas Luyster, her son Drew and daughter-in-law Vicki Dusebout, her adopted daughter Stephne and son-in-law Britton Barnes, five nephews one niece and five grandchildren.  Lillian loved being outdoors - gardening, fishing, hiking, and collecting seashells.  She enjoyed painting, and being surrounded by family on the holidays in the kitchen cooking.  After being a widow for eight years Lillian married John Pierce in 2002. As Granny Lil her life became full with the laughter of grandchildren, Spencer, Jessie, Baxter, Dani, and Niland. Lillian will forever be in our hearts and missed by us all. Celebration of the life of Lillian Pierce will be at the Samarkand Mountain Room Santa Barbara California on April 14, 2018 at 1:30pm.
