Obituary of Lydia Armenta

Lydia Armenta (Lamas/Nash)

08-03-1949 to 12-20-2018

Our dear sweet mother, Lydia, the ever-professing “lady in purple”

was called home, suddenly, on 12/20/18 at her residence in Santa Barbara.

Lydia is survived by her three daughters: Kimberly (Nash) Amezcua, Pamala (Nash) Sheridan and Krystal Armenta, her five grandchildren: Lyla, Jazmyn, Lily, Ella and Anthony, her closest companions Richard Gunnufson and Santiago Armenta, brother Victor Lamas, sister Gracie Kellams and her extended family through her many siblings.

Lydia was a native of Santa Barbara, enjoyed two marriages and was an active and vibrant spirit in the community, always lending a hand to those in need.  She had an extra special place in her heart for the community’s friends without homes and was involved in a number of outreach ministries to feed, clothe and share the gospel with them.  She was an avid treasure hunter and antiquer and could often be found at any one of the local flea markets. This often lent to one of her other passions: the giving of some of the most thoughtful and unique gifts! She loved showering her family and friends with them.

Her generous spirit and contagious smile will be greatly cherished and equally missed.

We love you “Mom”, “Mama” and “Mommy”!

~ God bless you and keep you ~
