Obituary of Eric M. Romero

Eric M. Romero, age 32, died a hero in his hometown of Carpinteria, CA, by saving the life of a friend and then saving the lives of 6 other people by donating his organs.  Eric will always be remembered as an amazing father, son, brother, and friend. 

Eric was born on November 28, 1986, in Mexico City, Mexico, to Maria Martinez and Jose I. Romero.  He was raised in Carpinteria, CA.  Eric was a successful general contractor who knew the value of hard work and doing the right thing.  He had a passion for skateboarding, fishing, playing pool, and spending time with family and friends.  Eric leaves behind two wonderful children, Mercedes and Bentley, and two remarkable brothers, Jerry and Christian.    

Eric had a charismatic and energetic personality that put a smile on people’s faces wherever he went.   He always saw the best in people and was known as a good-hearted individual who was always willing to help.  He touched many with his generosity and passion for life.  Eric filled any room with laughter and filled our hearts with love through humor and friendship.  We are blessed to have known him and we should all aspire to embody more of his spirit into our daily lives.
