Obituary of Mary Louise Lopez Sanchez
Louise Lopez Sanchez was born June 6, 1919 and was a very proud lifelong resident of Carpinteria, stemming from a large extended family of six generations of Carpinterians. She met her husband Dan Sanchez after high school and the two were married in St. Joseph’s Chapel on June 18, 1939. They went on to have a life full of traveling in Europe and across most of the United States. She was very active volunteer and parishioner at St. Josephs’s Church, and she attributed her longevity to “living a clean life” and her faith. Although Louise had no children of her own, she is survived by many loving godchildren, nieces, nephews and friends.
Louise’s family would like to extend a special thank you to the wonderful, caring staff at Villa Alamar Memory Care.
A funeral mass for Louise will take place at 10 AM on Monday, February 17th at St. Joseph’s Church with interment to follow at Carpinteria District Cemetery.
Arrangements entrusted to McDermott Crockett & Associates Mortuary.
