I first met Syd when his nephew, Stan Smith (my husband) introduced us in 1968. He was the same Syd through the years, interested in everyone and ready to hear family stories. It was always a fun trip to see him and Hope in Santa Barbara and this photo was there in January 2016 with four generations of Smith guys, his daughter, Lynn and our family. We will always remember his kind and welcoming spirit! We will miss him.
