Margaret (Peg) Ann Edwards Olds

Margaret passed away peacefully on November 13, 2020.

She was born September 9, 1917 in South Bend, Indiana to Walter J. Edwards and Ruth Pentz Edwards.  Margaret was 103.

Margaret grew up in Columbus, Ohio and graduated from North High School.  She attended Earlham College where she met her future husband, H. Robert Olds who was attending Ohio Wesleyan University, on a blind date.  They were married on September 1, 1940.  They were married for 56 years.

Margaret (Peg) and her husband moved to California from Ohio in 1963.

She was a homemaker, an avid knitter and a member of Goleta Presbyterian Church.

She and her husband took great delight in raising orchids and being active in the Santa Barbara Orchid Society.

Margaret (Peg) is survived by her son, Thomas J. Olds of Williamsburg, Virginia and daughter, Rosemary Olds Kent of Los Angeles, California, 7 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.
