Obituary of John Pierce

John F. Pierce, 94, died peacefully on December 23, 2012. John was born in Waldron, Missouri on October 2, 1918 to Henry and Doxie Pierce. He was from a family of two brothers and three sisters. In 1938 John joined the Navy and served in World War II. He started at the bottom and rose to the rank of Lt. Commander; he served 23years. John retired from the Navy and moved to Santa Barbara in 1960. He opened two restaurants and lounges, "Big Johns" and "El Presidente". He was widowed twice to wives Dorothy and Penny. John is survived by his wife Lillian, brother June, stepson and wife Drew and Vicki Dusebout, Step daughter and husband Stephanie and Britt Barnes, five step grandchildren, Spencer, Jessica, Danielle, Baxter and Niland. He will be missed. I know he is excited to spend his first Christmas in Heaven. John will be buried in his home town Waldron, Missouri.
