Obituary of Elsie DuBois

77, went to be with Jesus on April 9. She was born in London, England, the daughter of John and Dorothy (Stocks) Mansfield. Elsie grew up during WWII and at the age of 23 she married Larry DuBois, Chicago, IL. In 1959 they came to California, and in 1971 they settled in Santa Barbara after several years in Beaumont and Riverside, CA, and then Tucson, AZ. Elsie devoted her life to caring for her family and also loved helping taking care of babies at church. She was an avid movie fan, an excellent cook, and enjoyed working in her garden. She loved her home, the sun, the beach, taking walks, but most of all, she loved reading her bible and was devoted to Christ. Elsie is survived by her husband, Larry, their son, John, two grandchildren, Blake and Tianna, brothers, John (Mary) and Peter (Joyce), and nieces, nephews and a host of long-time friends. Donations in Elsie's memory may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105. Private memorial services for family and friends will be announced at a later date.
