Carol Redford

Obituary of Carol L. Redford

Carol was born to Doris and Theodore Bartholdi in Duluth, Minnesota. She & her siblings Maynard, Theodore, Suzie, Robert and Phyllis grew up in Alborn, Minnesota. After some college she moved to Washington D.C. to work for the Navy Dept. at the Pentagon. It was there she would meet her future husband Leonard Redford. They later married Sept 6, 1952 in Sierra Madre, California and had four daughters. For many years she worked in the aerospace industry, helping support her husband's dream to become an automotive dealer and raised their children. Later she would go back to school to become an interior designer. An excellent cook, Carol enjoyed entertaining her friends with great food and music. Her easy warm smile and never an unkind word earned her many friends that lasted a life time. She will be missed by all that knew her. She is survived by her siblings Theodore, Robert and Phyllis, three daughters Sally Wallace, Leslie Lee & Meg Austin, six grandchildren Alexandra Wallace, Dustin Lee, Joshua Lee, Samantha Lee, Lisa Austin Sedgwick & Chris Austin, and two great grandchildren Nicole & Layla Sedgwick. She will be laid to rest next to her daughter Susan Redford and husband Leonard at Forest Lawn Cemetery Covina Hills, California on Wednesday April 11, 2012 at 12 noon.
