Obituary of Wallace Cuppy

Wallace, Cuppy, passed away 9/10/11 @ the age of 93, in the confort of his home with family present. Born 8/24/1918 in New York, moving to Santa Barbara in 1924 @ age 6. He went to grammar school, Jr. high, high school and college in Santa Barbara. He joined the army serving in WWII. After the war returned to S.B., marrying Anna in 1946. He was a Salesman until 1957 when he moved the family to the San Fernando Valley to open “Good Spirit Boys” liquor store with his brother. In 1972 returned to S.B. and went to work as a Bartender @ Harry’s Plaza retiring @ 65. He was offered a job at the S.B. Sheriff Department in 1983 which he retired from in 2009 at age 91. He loved to have fun and enjoyed golf & bowling. He was a member the the Elks Lodge & Masons. Cuppy was a special good-hearted manwho touched the lives of many people. He is survived by his wife of 65 years Anna, sons Barry, Nate, daughters Pamela, Nancy, 5 grandchildren, 2 great grandsons. Graveside service Friday 9/16/11 @ 11:30 a.m. @ the Santa Barbara Cemetery.
