Obituary of Christine Yvonne Hauptman

 Christine Yvonne Hauptman, age 73, of Santa Barbara, California passed away of natural causes on Friday, March 29, 2024 after a lingering illness.

  Chris was born August 19, 1950 in Orange, California to George Oscar Hauptman and Helen Christine (Schoeneberg) Hauptman. She was predeceased in death by her parents George and Helen Hauptman and also by her Step-Mother, Ethel May Hauptman.   Chris is survived by her brother Steven L. Hauptman (Grace), niece Sarah (Matthew) Kirk, nephew David Hauptman and niece Amy Hauptman, all of Madison, Wisconsin.

   Chris graduated from Analy High School in Sebastopol, California in 1968. She graduated from Santa Rosa Junior College and attended UC Santa Barbara.  She worked at Girls Inc as a Database Administrator for over 35 years and was dedicated to her job.

   Over the years, Chris adopted many cats (Honey, Daisy, Harvey, Tigger, Cooper and Sherman ) and gave then a safe and loving home. 

  Chris will be interred at Conejo Mountain Cemetery in Camarillo, California. She requested that no Memorial Service be held.  In lieu of flowers, the family requests that any Memorial gifts be made to Santa Barbara Humane at 5399 Overpass Rd, Santa Barbara, California 93111.

  We deeply appreciate the care provided to Chris by the staff at Buena Vista Care Center in Goleta and the many visits and errands by her good friend Laura Nanna of Santa Barbara.
