Obituary of Bethene Ellen Puttock

81, passed away peacefully on May 25, 2015 surrounded by her loved ones. Bethene was born and raised in Burwell, Nebraska. She married and had her first daughter Kathy. The family of three moved to Southern California and had two more children Connie and Bruce. She worked for Safeway as a GM Clerk for 30 plus years. In 1973, she moved to Goleta and remarried, the late Everett Leon Puttock. Everett was a lucky man to have Bethene by his side. Bethene was a very dedicated and loving mother and grandmother. Her retirement days were spent watching her grand children grow up, lunches with the VD ladies group, trips to the Chumash Casino, reading and enjoying the beauty of Goleta, Santa Barbara. She will be deeply missed but not forgotten by her surviving two children Kathy (Willie) Madrigal and Bruce (Laurel) Keith, nine grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren and many amazing friends she met along the way. No services are planned upon her wishes. We would like to thank Santa Barbara Hospice Care. Their staff was truly a blessing to work with. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to Santa Barbara Hospice Care or Alzheimer's Association for Dementia research.
