Testimonials

Your impression of the quality and value of our services is very important to us. We respectfully ask for your assistance in evaluating the services we provided, as this will enable us to provide the best possible care to others who turn to us in their time of need.

There are no words to describe the gratitude I have for you and your wonderful staff at McDermott-Crockett! You helped me pre-plan a memorial ceremony and then implement that plan when the time came of my Dad’s passing. You took such tender loving care of him - I remember you saying you would care for him as if he was your own father – WOW! That had an incredible impact on me and my family to know he was in such loving hands. Your job is not an easy one, but you have been blessed with a warm & gentle personality that was able to guide me through this journey from the obituary to the processing of his ashes. Every detail was meticulously carried out, and all our needs were addressed by you and your conscientious staff. The follow up care is also to be commended, even after the service had been completed, you continued to check in on my family. I cannot imagine a more dignified farewell for William (“Bimby”) Smolinski, who was was my heart. With Love & Admiration, Mary Smolinski deLoe ”

When our son died unexpectedly over a year ago, God smiled on us when he guided us to Jennifer Parks and the others at McDermott-Crockett. I say that because we were completely stricken and had no idea what to do. The gentleness of their direction is beyond adjectives, because it has to have come from such a deep understanding of the spiritual nature of grief; there are simply no adequate words for the kind of true caring and understanding we received. The tenderness that we experienced as a family paved the way for us to function. Every step of the way, they provided a personalized approach, often going beyond the call of duty to make sure each family member had the final goodbye in the way they needed. How can one express gratitude for this? Where are the words grand enough to thank everyone for their kindness, wisdom, guidance? We are indebted forever, deeply in our hearts, Patrice & Laurence Handley and Family ”

"After the passing of our brother, we had no idea of where to start in making arrangements. Since we are not from Santa Barbara, we were lost in who to trust, where to start. We wanted to be sure that our brother was in the best care possible. A relative, referred us to Jennifer at McDermott-Crockett. It was the first call I made, after talking with Jennifer, I knew immediately that God answered our prayers! Jennifer helped us immeasurably! She was compassionate and understanding of our situation, making my family feel a comfort of love during a very difficult time. Jennifer carefully walked us through a difficult process in making arrangements since my brother had already passed and there were no prearrangements. We were on a limited budget and time constraints since we are from out-of-state. Since our brother was to be cremated, Jennifer and staff prepared a beautiful memorial by hosting a Celebration of Life honoring our beloved brother. Everything done by Jennifer and staff was a beautiful tribute to our brother. Thank you graciously and abundantly to Jennifer and the staff of McDermott-Crockett for your love, kindness, and caring of people. God bless you always!"

We would like to express to Mcdermott Crockett Mortuary’s staff, especially Jennifer, for all the love and care they gave to us, and continue to give, for the loss of our son. It has been such unbelievable loss. Though his death was overwhelming to our family, we are so grateful for choosing Mcdermott Crockett as they gave us such comfort and care throughout this process. Every question and every concern was addresses. They honestly cared not just for us, but for our son. They assured us that he would be well taken care of through each step. We chose to have our son cremated. While this is not done in Santa Barbara, we were given the opportunity to go with him. Though we chose not to go, Jennifer made sure that our son was escorted to the facility and waited there until completed and brought our son home. We also were financially hurting and Jennifer took the time to work out the best plan for us. We feel that anywhere else may have not been so honest and loving to our son. Jennifer continues to keep in touch with us for support and just to listen when we aren't having a good day. Though are son passed four months ago Jennifer continues to be a shining star for our son and family. We will always be Thankful for making McDermott Crockett our choice. They are such caring and loving people that understand your loss. Sincerely, Todd & Victoria ”
