Obituary of Dorothy Richardson

Dorothy Rose Richardson, (nee Mallet) 97 of Santa Barbara, California passed away on May 19, 2019.  An Episcopalian service will be held at the Santa Barbara Cemetery Chapel in Santa Barbara, Ca. Thursday May 23, 2019 at 1:00 p.m.  Officiating the service will be Father Michael Corrigan of Trinity Episcopal Church in Santa Barbara.

Dorothy is survived by her children Michael Richardson and Rosemary Creason - grandchildren Cynthia Rose Fisher, Ross, Chase, Chad and Charlotte Richardson - Great Grandchild Hailey Rose Jennell and Dorothy’s Step grandchild Kathy and her family Jon, Syd, and Jayevin Abad -also her son in-law Fred Creason.

Dorothy is predeceased by parents William and Mary May Mallet and sisters May Spinks and Edna Darley- Brothers in-law Les, Don and her daughter’s in-law Mary Richardson and Polly Richardson.

Dorothy was born and raised in Norwich, England in 1922.  She fought in the Battle of Brittan where she met and American G.I. Bill Richardson fell in love and after the war they married.  Dorothy left beautiful Norwich, England and went to live in Southern California where she had her two children Michael and Rosemary.  She lived in Santa Barbara for many years with her husband Bill and family.  She was a loving mother, and great grandmother who was always there for her children. Dorothy will be extremely missed by all.  Now she is with her beloved husband Bill and all her English and American family who has passed before her and waiting for her in heaven.
