Dick and Blandine were such an amazing part of my life. We met when I was just 19 and was working at Feibels Bowling Alley in Teaneck , N.J. I cocktail waitressed for the Banjo band gatherings which became a weekly event in the downstairs .
I had a blast!since my grandmother was a true flapper from N.Y. the 20,s, I dressed flapper and danced my way into a lovely band called” The Old Smoothies”.
When their singer- Nancy McGeady was unavailable, I began a part time hobby and “ career” as an entertainer with the band. Blandine was an integral part of our group as time went on. Her guitar playing mixed with Dicks amazing banjo talents were so much fun!!! That- plus her amazing “belly dancing!!!”
I became a part of this lovely family until they moved to California and life went into other chapters for everyone. I loved both who left their lovely musical Imprints on my heart forever!!!!!
Love and peace and hugs to Jeanne and Denise and the rest of the family…
Love / Maryanne
