Obituary of Betty Joyce Caviness

Betty Joyce Caviness, 81, went home to be with our Lord September 23, 2021, surrounded by her loved ones.  Born October 6, 1939 in Pampa TX to Lester and Thelma Attaway.  She was the youngest of 2 children.  Betty’s first love was for God and her family.  She was gifted with a beautiful singing voice. She was a talented dancer, always enjoyed hearing laughter and had a knack for finding humor everywhere in almost everything. She loved to laugh.  To those who knew her, Betty’s sense of compassion for all of the lives she touched was uplifting and we all knew we could count on her.  Her work ethic is well known as was her drive to “do what was right.”  She is survived by her son, Scott Caviness, daughter Kim Martinez and son in law, John Martinez, her 4 grandchildren, Joseph Martinez and his wife Rose, Marcella Martinez and her fiancé Steve Heintze, Amanda Ruscigno and Vincent Ruscigno, her 7 great grandchildren, Brandon, Micah and Trenton Hinkle, Cody Austyn and Tyler Heintze and Ethan Ruscigno, her brother Lloyd B. Attaway, sister-in-law Kathleen Attaway, nephew Lloyd B. Attaway Jr and wife Hope Attaway and niece Lori F. Levy.  Memorial services will be held Saturday, November 13^th, 2021 at the Yucaipa Community Center at 11am.  A light lunch will be provided after the service.   All friends and family to Betty are welcome.
