Obituary of Kira Lynn Edgerton

Kira Lynn Edgerton passed away peacefully the morning of Thursday, December 23rd. 2021 and is now in the presence of God’s glory.

She was born in San Pedro, Calif March 13, 1967. She was the youngest of 5 children and was preceded in death by her parents, Irvine B. Edgerton, Lois Edgerton- Addington,  and oldest nephew, Jacob Israel Houck.

She is survived by her 25 year old son, Zavriel Azsury Loza; three older sisters, Karen Bisset, KristiAnn (Kiki) Edgerton, Kendra Wivell and husband, Cal, all of Sonora, California. and an older brother, Buz Edgerton and wife Terry of Clearlake TX.

She also leaves behind many nephews and nieces, Angela and Bud Quinton, Isaac Bisset, Justin Bisset, Erik and Daphna Bisset, Kari Mata, Cody and Ruby Mata; Jeremiah Seth Houck and wife Samantha, Tyler Mespelli; Jeremy and Carrie MacDonald, Nichole MacDonald, Shane and Kelly MacDonald, Ryan MacDonald and Calin Wivell; Crystal Lynn Edgerton, Zachery and Sarah Edgerton, Joshua Edgerton, Ethan Edgerton and her God Daughter, Kimmie Dawn Ingrim.

Although Kira spent most of her life living in Santa Barbara, she also lived in the state of Maryland during a small part of her childhood years growing up with the family.

Kira was a life-long professional student with the goal of entering Christian ministry. She completed degrees at the University of California, Santa Barbara and the Grand Canyon University, Arizona. She gained Master's degrees in Mental Health Counsel and Therapy & Chaplaincy but was also working on another degree in religious studies at the time of her passing.

Kira had a heart for the many orphaned children in Pakistan and Uganda. She held dear the importance of sharing awareness and the Gospel for the orphanages there in need.

She loved the ocean, bike riding, and roller skating along the beach. She enjoyed her group FaceTime chats with the orphans she helped and sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ to all she met.

 A celebration of life will be held at the family ranch in Sonora, California, March 12, 2022
