Obituary of Teddy Best

Ted's life began on March 12, 1934. He was born in the Army Hospital on the Presidio in San Francisco. After proudly serving his country in the Korean War, he returned to the Los Angeles area. Ted met his future wife, Emily, and began his family. Ted owned AMPM in Carpinteria for many years. His wife, Emily, passed away in 1988 and one of his twin daughters, Donna, in 2004. Ted leaves behind two sons, Richard and Ron, his daughter in law, Carey Best, and one daughter Joan Carey and his son in law Tim Carey. Ted also leaves behind seven grandchildren (Jennifer, Lindsey, Michelle, Kaleb, Jacob, Alleigh, and Mackenzie), and two great grand children (Tyler and Isaiah). Ted was lucky enough to meet Sue Chandler six years ago and they had six great years together. A memorial service will be held at Goleta Valley Church. 595 N.
