Obituary of Richard Falcon

Richard Falcon, 85 year-old Santa Barbara native, left for his heavenly home surrounded by his loving extended family on June 23, after a courageous battle. Born to Anita Hernandez and Felipe Falcon on June 5, 1929, Richard grew up on the family's dairy farm near Milpas Street and served in the Marines and Navy. Richard was a working man and instilled a strong work ethic in his children and grandchildren. He was a driver for Jordano's Meat for almost thirty years and then worked for M & F and Shalhoob Meat. He was a wonderful provider for his family. Our dad was strong and handsome and so loved by the Cota and Hernandez families. He joins our brothers, George and Alex, his brother, Alfred, and sisters-in-law, Stephanie Cota and Nicky Falcon in heaven. Dad is survived by his wife, Patricia Cota-Falcon, brother-in-law, Paul Cota, daughters, Genny Bolton (John), Alicia Falcon, Kristine Sanchez (Jesse) and Cyndi Falcon, his adoring grandchildren, Karrie Laatsch, Chad Copley, Paul Espinosa, Jack Carrillo, Janel Espinosa, Antwanette Ramirez, Kyle Sonnenberg, Steve Espinosa, Denesha Ramos, Duke Sanchez, Krissy Sanchez and Elijah Falcon and eleven great grandchildren. Dad, you fought the good fight, now rest in the arms of our Lord. Your strong faith is a gift to us and by that, we know we will all meet again. Semper Fi, Pops. Thank you to Dr. Newman, Dr. Johnson, and Dr. Hagel and the staff in Cottage Wood-Claeyssens. You were all amazing and so caring. Dad devoted many hours to assisting the Alzheimer's Association with events, especially the Walk to End Alzheimer's. If you would like to make a donation in his name to the Alzheimer's Association, please send to 1528 Chapala St, #204, 93101.
