Obituary of Christine Hembree

Hembree, Christine Ann Beloved Mother and Grandmother passed away peacefully in her home early morning Saturday, April 12th, 2014 with her daughters by her side at the age of 61. Christine "Chris" was born in Schenectady, NY on October 10th, 1952 to Frank and Shirley Clark. Moving to Santa Barbara at the age of seven, she graduated from local schools. Christine married Loyd Hembree in 1975 and they had two daughters. Chris, devoted Mother and hands on Grandmother spent most of her free time spoiling her grand kids. Chris loved the outdoors and would often be found waterskiing at the lake, horseback riding with friends, sitting by the pool, crafting, jewelry making, and spending time with her dog. As a loving, compassionate woman, you would always find her putting others first. Christine's courage and will to fight will have an everlasting legacy to those around her. She will always be remembered for her selflessness, passion for life, and love she shared. Christine is survived by her two daughters Jamie (Rigoberto) Martinez and Denise (Robert) Lopez, Mother Shirley Clark, brother Kent Clark, and six grandchildren Emily, Arrianna, Lily, Adeline, Oscar, and Kaiden. We are thankful for the loving care she received from Dr. Priti Gagneja and Laura Haywood from Hospice. Services will be held on Friday, April 18th, 2014 at 10:30 am at the Santa Barbara Cemetery Chapel, with interment to follow. Arrangements entrusted to McDermott-Crockett Mortuary
