Obituary of Helen M. LeCompte

Loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother, passed away on December 20, 2013 with her family by her side. She will be greatly missed. She is with her Creator now. Helen was born in Santa Barbara on March 24, 1937. She met her late husband Warren Harding LeCompte and they were wed September 11, 1955. Helen lived and raised her children in Santa Barbara. Helen lived a wonderful life in Santa Barbara and was very involved in her church. She was a very creative seamstress and donated her time making quilts. Helen loved playing cards, board games, and most of all Scrabble. She is survived by her brothers, John, Richard, and Steve Lord. Children Chuck LeCompte, Suzanne Knipp, Elaine Bowie, and Karen Michaels (Lord). Grand children, Brandon, Josh, Kenny, Mary, Helen, and Roy, and great grandchildren Connor, Charlotte and Easton. Our mom will greatly miss watching her great grandchildren grow up. A celebration of life ceremony will be held Friday December 27, 2013 at 11:00 AM at Christ the King Episcopal Church, 5073 Hollister Ave. Santa Barbara, CA, with a reception to follow. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Visiting Nurses and Hospice Care, Serenity House of Santa Barbara.
