Obituary of Doris Wedman

Doris Wedman was born in Edmonton, Alberta Canada on August 22, 1943. She passed away peacefully on December 17, 2013 at her home in Santa Barbara. She was 70 years old. She married Leonard Wedman on June 5, 1965. They lived in Hamilton, Ontario Canada and then moved to Murrysville, Pennsylvania in 1972. They raised two children, April and Steve, and moved again to Radford, Virginia then Sierra Vista, Arizona and San Marcos, California. Len and Doris made their final move to Santa Barbara in 1992. Doris became a member of the altar guild at Trinity Lutheran Church in Santa Barbara. She also worked as a CNA with the Visiting Nurse Association in San Marcos and Santa Barbara. She loved to cook and enjoyed the operas at the Lobero Theater. She was a very thoughtful, caring and giving person and was very proud of her Canadian heritage. Doris will be greatly missed by her husband of 48 years, Len, in Santa Barbara, her two children, April and Steve Wedman, and her three grandchildren, Alli, Megan and Leah. Arrangements pending.
