Obituary of Walter Brewer

Walter Harold Brewer Sr. of Tucson, Arizona passed away on April 15, 2013 at the age of 92. Walter is survived by his daughter Diana A. Brewer of Pagosa Springs, Colorado, son Walter H. Brewer, M.D. (Beth Christian Brewer), and grandchildren Madeline, Christian, and Reid Brewer of Tucson. Born in Los Angeles, California on November 9, 1921, Walter married his beloved wife of 55 years, Dorothy Bogdanovich, in 1947. Together they enjoyed life to the fullest in Los Angeles, Newport Beach, Santa Barbara and Tucson. Walter worked as an executive at Starkist Foods for many years and was a passionate boater. Dorothy passed away in January of 2003. Walter will be remembered as a charming, kind and gentle man. The funeral service was held on Friday, April 26 at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel at St. Thomas the Apostle, Tucson, AZ. A service and burial are scheduled for Friday, May 3 at 2:00 p.m. at Santa Barbara Cemetery, Santa Barbara, CA. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Walter H. Brewer Sr. endowed scholarship fund at Salpointe Catholic High School, 1545 East Copper Street, Tucson, Arizona 85719.
