Obituary of Roxanne Taggart

Roxanne Taggart, of Goleta, died unexpectedly Tuesday, January 2. She was born to the late Robert and Margaret Young July 27, 1944, in Santa Barbara. A graduate of the first graduating class of San Marcos High School, Roxanne was also a member of the International Order of Job's Daughters Bethel 18. She is survived by her husband David and four children: Anthony Lee, Gary James (Melanie), David Wallace, and Michael John (Judy). She is also survived by granddaughters Kristin, and Roxanne Taggart Hugo, and brother, Robert, Jr. Plants and sports were her passion. Her backyard was a marvel of greenery, and her cymbidium orchids were spectacular. Professional football games and NASCAR auto racing were her favorites. Roxanne was a true, gentle person who nurtured those, who entered her home of 50 years, with kindness and compassion. She will be definitely missed by many who valued her friendship. Graveside services are Wednesday, January 9, 1:00p.m. at Carpinteria Cemetery with a reception to follow. Friends may donate to Santa Barbara Humane Society in her memory.
