I had the good fortune to work with Lynn at UCSB Grad Division from 2002-2004. She was always such a compassionate and lovely person and I felt so lucky to have her as my supervisor. She had so much patience and was always positive. I will cherish the memories I have of this outstanding woman. My heartfelt condolences to her children and Tucker.

My deepest condolences to Lynn's family, friends, co-workers, etc. Lynn was a colleague at UCSB and also my dear friend. My heart feels terribly empty without Lynn but I know her suffering is at an end. We used to email or call each other sharing funny things that happened at work. We also shared our life struggles and triumphs. Knowing Lynn made me a better person on so many levels. She also enriched the lives of many graduate students as their great advocate. Rest in peace, my dear friend, Lynn.

My deepest condolences to Lynn's family and friends. As a graduate program assistant at UCSB, I had the amazing opportunity to work with and learn from Lynn for the last 2 1/2 years. I had so waited anxiously for her return this Fall, having missed her sweet voice, light and joyful laugh, wisdom and perspective. Most of all, her compassion. Lynn taught me that in spite of the rules and policies, procedures and protocols, life happens and each student is special. Her compassion for everyone she encountered was endless. She knew when to crack the whip and crack a smile, when to throw the book and when to toss a life ring. She was an advocate for her students, a gracious and generous mentor, and an absolute joy to work with. She will be so greatly missed. May you find peace in knowing how many lives she touched.
